Field Day 2008 Due West Elementary School

Field day was great, the kids had alot of fun doing the various events that they had planned. It seemed like an eternity since I had my field day, back in the day when life was black and white, ha! only kidding...

I got some really great shots of the kids doing there thing, and I hope that they can look back on it and smile, just like I did.

What an interesting sport lacrosse is..

I've done alot of sports, but I'd never shot lacrosse before, though I had seen it on TV, but never in person. It looked like a cross between Hockey and Soccer, very cool.

My wife and I got the invite to shoot Hillgrove's 2008 Lacrosse season from the inside out, which is the way we prefer to do sports, you know, all access, thats the only way you can get the really great pictures. It was tough at first due to some strange lighting conditions, crazy shadows, and sometimes the weather, one game I couldn't even press the shutter my hands were so cold.

But all in all it went very well, and alot of parents were very happy to see images of there superstar, which is mostly the reason I'm a sports photographer, is the smile's on peoples faces or the look of "wow" look at that shot! nothing beats that..
